Adventure playgrounds in Thurgau

Adventure playgrounds make children's eyes light up and hearts beat faster. Whether it's a racy rollercoaster ride in Conny Land, an animal tour of the Plättli Zoo followed by a visit to the playground or a fast-paced ride on the pump track - Thurgau has the right playground for all little explorers.

The main attractions of the "Robins Horn" adventure playground at the port of Romanshorn are the two observation towers with platforms at a height of 7.4 and 15 meters, which are connected by a rope bridge. The smaller tower can be climbed via a conventional staircase or via a climbing net inside. Once at the top, you are rewarded with a breathtaking view over Lake Constance. Brave visitors can slide back down to the meadow via a tunnel slide. In addition to the two towers, there are climbing frames, swings, a zipline and other play facilities. There is also seating and a picnic area under a tree.
Why not combine an adventurous visit to the playground with an animal-themed tour of Plättli Zoo? The family-friendly private zoo is small but beautiful and is home to a wide variety of animal species from all over the world. After visiting the animals, the barbecue area, restaurant and, above all, the spacious and varied children's playground invite you to linger and let off steam. The playground is also open to the public without admission to the zoo.
The Sitterdorf airfield leisure park offers an exciting combination of animal and adventure park with playground. Various attractions such as the nautic jet, the butterfly ride, cable cars, the hamster wheel and much more await visitors. The children's train, which runs around the entire amusement park, will make little train drivers smile. And, of course, the planes taking off and landing at the active airfield are always fascinating.
On the spacious playground between Arbon Castle, the Saurer Museum and the lakeshore, romping around is not only allowed, but a must. A giant slide, climbing frames, swan carousel, sandpit with water pump and rolling raft, bird's nest swing, tractor roller and much more make the hours here fly by.
Conny-Land, the big amusement park in the middle of Thurgau. Visitors of all ages can immerse themselves in a world full of excitement, fun and thrills. The 60 or so rides and attractions offer enough variety for a whole day of adventure. The new "Jungle Adventure" indoor playground with its giant slide, baby village and climbing garden will delight children even when the weather is not so good.
The Ludotrail Romanshorn is also an adventure playground. Along 25 stations, you can play games related to the port city and discover Romanshorn. Shunting locomotives from track to track, catching fish, steering ships into the harbor, connecting letters in street lettering, rolling dice across Lake Constance - the trail is all-round family fun. The stations are set up on walls, in the park, along sights or restaurants and can be played in any number and order with children aged six and over.
At the Münsterlinger Hafenfeld bathing area, the "Seestern" shipwreck broken in the middle invites little pirates and sea dogs to play and let off steam. Visitors can also enjoy a lovely barbecue area, a basket swing to relax on and a beach volleyball court. The bathing area has a sunny shore area with access to Lake Constance. And why not take a walk along the water after your visit to the playground and then take the Thurbo back to Münsterlingen?
In Salmsach Bay between Romanshorn and Arbon, children and adults can let off steam on the asphalt pump track by the lake. Two courses of different lengths and difficulty levels are waiting to be used by active adventurers. The aim is to achieve forward motion without pedal power. By skillfully shifting weight on the waves and hills, the necessary speed can be achieved to complete the circuit once or several times. The adjoining playground provides the ideal change of pace and breaks to catch your breath. There are benches and a barbecue area by the lake for refreshments.
Whether on foot, by bike or on roller skates along Lake Constance, the Sunnehüsli in Güttingen is a wonderfully uncomplicated place to take a break. While the children are busy in the creative and spacious playground with old tractors, steamroller swings and barrel houses or observing the various small animals, the grown-ups can enjoy a "Zwipf" from their rucksack under the shady trees.
The Seeburgpark Kreuzlingen stretches for two and a half kilometers along the shores of Lake Constance. In the largest public nature adventure park on Lake Constance, little whirlwinds can let off steam in the extensive and varied playground. There is also an animal park here, where they specialize in keeping and breeding old domestic animal breeds that have almost disappeared. The park also offers mini-golf and restaurants.
In the fruit (play) garden and wild bee paradise of the Swiss cidery and distillery museum Momö, you can not only slip out of an apple and have a wonderful romp, but also observe busy insects. Alone or on a guided excursion with wild bee experts. Once you've had enough gymnastics, set off to discover Momö, where you can experience the apple's journey from the tree to the Shorley bottle. For detective families and puzzlers, an exciting Detective Badger Trail starts directly from Momö.
