The "Rugelreise" is a unique experience for the whole family. On a picturesque hiking trail through the countryside, children and adults can set wooden balls rolling in lovingly designed tracks at several stations. Each station between Frauenfeld and Matzingen offers a new, creative challenge that is not only fun but also promotes dexterity. The first Thurgau ball track trail is ideal for a relaxed family outing and perfectly combines exercise, experiencing nature and playful entertainment.

On the trail of pirates on Untersee

Exciting challenges await budding pirates and buccaneers at Lake Constance. At various excursion destinations, children learn the skills of real pirates at the world's first pirate school: Sending messages by message in a bottle, deciphering secret codes and tying friendship knots. Visiting the pirate school is flexible and spontaneous and can be done in several stages. The combination with a boat trip on the Untersee and Rhine is particularly attractive, as there are also hidden messages to discover on board the URh ships.

Sleep like a clown

Children's dreams come true at the Wagenhausen campsite. Here the family sleeps like artists or clowns - in a circus wagon. The handmade, cozy wagons made of pine wood offer space for up to four people, a kitchenette, private bathroom and terrace. At the heart of the campsite, they are set up around a fireplace with seating. The Rhine, which flows right past the campsite, invites you to take a dip in the cool water.

On the trail of apple juice

The Swiss cidery and distillery museum "MoMö" in Arbon is all about apples. It shows how juices and fruit brandies were made in the past and compares the traditional craft with today's modern processes. The MoMö has created an orchard with a wild bee paradise and children's playground especially for families. The exhibition is also child-friendly: peep-holes, hands-on stations, a photo box and a fairy-tale barrel are sure to make eyes sparkle. If you're feeling peckish, there are snacks in the bar and souvenirs in the "juice store" next door.

The six stages of the Lake Constance-Rhine family route between Bad Ragaz and Schaffhausen always lead along the water. Cyclists first follow the mystical Rhine and then the sparkling waters of Lake Constance. All on a signposted, flat and safe cycle route. Whether water rats, land pirates, big players or curious explorers: there is something for every member of the family. A number of bathing opportunities, playgrounds, farm experiences and family-friendly restaurants, picnic and snack spots line the route.

Climbing, balancing, sliding

At the "Robins Horn" adventure playground, there are two towers at lofty heights of 7.4 and 15 meters. They offer breathtaking views and are connected by a wobbly rope bridge, which is a real thrill! The bravest dare to descend the long tunnel slide. There are also swings, a zipline, a picnic area and pizza right next door.

The Altnau Apple Trail provides information on 24 information boards with play stations about many exciting aspects of fruit growing. The apple mascots "Fredi", "Emma" and "Lisi" accompany families on three routes through the apple groves. Attractive resting places invite you to relax, play and picnic. A special place to take a deep breath is the Altnauer Steg, which extends 270 meters into Lake Constance. Everything revolves around apples in Altnau's farm stores, village stores and restaurants. Nowhere else in Thurgau do the Öpfelchüechli taste better than here.

The happiness factory of Minz and Minor

If you love chocolate, a visit to the Chocolarium is a must. On the interactive adventure tour, sweet-toothed visitors can learn lots of interesting facts about chocolate and how the goodness gets into it in a fun way. From the glass gallery, they can watch how the popular Munz and Minor products are made. For individual happiness, several chocolate fountains shine with liquid chocolate. They invite you to taste and evaluate the flavors white, milk, dark, raspberry and even vegan gianduja. Snacking is expressly encouraged here.

Action and fun in the amusement park

If you are looking for action and an adrenaline rush, Conny-Land in Lipperswil is the place to be. With around 60 attractions, from the Cobra action rollercoaster to the 4D flight simulator Space Trip, the leisure park provides thrilling experiences. Various indoor activities offer visitors pure excitement even in bad weather conditions. What nobody wants to miss are the spectacular live shows by the sea lions. The funny animals show off their tricks and amaze visitors.
