They hike along the wine trail in Weinfelden with a full rucksack and tasting glass and discover the wonderful flavors that Thurgau has to offer with its wines. In the cellar of the former Mesmerhuus in Ermatingen, the stylishly furnished restaurant Wy & Kafi was created after a total renovation of the 400 old walls. Surrounded by natural stone walls, guests can enjoy a wide selection of Thurgau wines and spirits, all available by the bottle or by the glass. Exquisite snacks such as tarte flambée, tartare, fish rolls, walnut pesto, Thurgau truffles, apple rings, dried pears or mustard caviar are a delight to the palate. The Haag family has been growing grapes for over six generations. Nicole and Urs Haag run the 12-hectare dessert fruit and wine-growing business in the heart of Hüttwilen. The charmingly furnished Vinothek Haag, surrounded by 400-year-old walls, invites you to shop and taste on Fridays and Saturdays or by appointment. In combination with a hike in the Seebachtal valley, this is a wonderful weekend program.
The Rebgut Sunnehalde is situated in a beautiful location on the Ottenberg in Weinfelden, surrounded by vineyards. Under the beautiful pergola with a unique panoramic view from the Hoher Kasten over the Säntis to the Bernese Alps. The estate's own wines can be sampled from Thursday to Sunday in combination with a delicious lunch plate or snack platter. The Sunnehalde vineyard is also located on the Weinfelden wine trail.
