Museum in the Turmhof

The Turmhof, Steckborn's landmark from the 13th century, houses a museum on the culture and history of the Untersee region. On three floors, the exhibition shows 6,000 years of history - from pile dwellers to Romans and Alemanni to modern times. The focus is on Steckborn stove building, lace-making and the sewing machine museum. The collection includes kiln ceramics and works by local artists. Special and temporary exhibitions are held regularly.
