Strähl cheese

Thanks to the innovative spirit of Paul Strähl Sr. and the entrepreneurial energy of the successor generations of the Strähl and Holenstein families, Strähl Käse AG is now an independent family business.
What began as a one-man business in 1934 has developed into a dynamic family business with around 70 employees. Craftsmanship is at the forefront when it comes to accompanying the various cheese specialties with elaborate care to the optimum degree of ripeness. Most of the cheeses are known far beyond the cantonal borders. No wonder, as up to 150,000 liters of Thurgau cow's milk are processed into fine cheese every day in the small village.
Products
The older generation still remembers the "Strähl-Chäs" - that's what the people of Thurgau called the green Tilsiter. Today you can find many other specialties with names such as Thurgauer Rahmkäse, Echter Thurgauer, Bonaparte, Bonapepe, Arenenberger, Farmer, Landrauchkäse, Valbella Kümmelkäse or excellent raclette cheese in 4 varieties in almost all good cheese cabinets.
