The fruit variety collection in Hofen near Roggwil is an interesting and educational excursion destination at any time of year.

The orchard is a unique collection of old fruit varieties. Almost 400 high-stem trees thrive on an area of around five hectares: apple, pear, cherry, plum, plum and nut trees - each tree a different variety. The orchard was planted in the same way as was customary throughout Oberthurgau a few decades ago. The Roggwil Fruit Variety Collection Association thus not only preserves the diversity of fruit varieties, but also maintains a centuries-old fruit-growing tradition and the landscape.
