Max Burkhardt House - Holidays in a listed building

The Max Burkhardt House in Arbon is a house designed by the Swiss decorative painter and photographer Max Burkhardt himself and furnished in Art Nouveau style.
Max Burkhardt (1876-1957) was originally from Aarau, but settled in Arbon after training as a decorator and painter at the School of Applied Arts in Zurich, Munich and Paris. The Sunflower House, which he had built from 1904 to 1910 according to his own design, is a total work of art in its unity of architecture, interior design and artistic creation. The house served as a home and art studio for him, his wife and their three children until the end of his life.
The Max Burkhardt House offers space for 2 people in the 2-room apartment on the second floor. The apartment also has a large balcony with a view of the garden.
