In the former SBB locomotive depot in Romanshorn - the place where the railroad arrived in 1855 - the Railway Experience World has been open for more than ten years.

Among other things, the Ec 3/5 tender steam locomotive (built in 1912), the Bavarian S 3/6 express steam locomotive, the Ae 6/6 and Ae 4/7 electric locomotives, various post, passenger and goods wagons, signal box II, the turntable and the former signal bridge with 8 signals can be admired and partially inspected. The "Gurtnellen" training signal box, which can be used to transfer driving commands to a model railroad, is on display here. Visitors can try their hand at being a train driver on the driving simulator. You can meet Jim Knopf and Luke the Engine Driver on the garden railroad. Hand wheelchairs can also travel on the train! You can ride on real tracks with the hand-lever trolley.
