Historical Museum in Arbon Castle

Historical Museum in Arbon Castle
The largest local and regional history museum in the Thurgau awaits visitors in the medieval Arbon Castle with its fortified tower: 6000 years of history from the pile dwellers to the industrial age.
Arbon Bay was first settled 6000 years ago. The Romans built a fortress there. In the Middle Ages, Arbon was a small town protected by a curtain wall. At the beginning of the 20th century, Arbon became an important industrial town with the Saurer company. Various finds, objects and pictures in the modern permanent exhibition in Arbon Castle tell the story. From the top floor of the fortified tower you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the region.
