Baliere farmhouse
Changing exhibitions are shown in the Baliere City Gallery. The focus is on artists from the Frauenfeld region.
The Haus zur Baliere, where the gallery is located, is an old timber-framed building from the 16th century and was once the home and business premises of Hans Hoffmann, who worked as a balierer (sword sweeper) and armourer in Frauenfeld. Finely chiseled swords from his workshop can still be admired today in the Historical Museum in Frauenfeld Castle.
The town gallery is run and financed by the town of Frauenfeld. The current exhibition program including opening hours can be found on the website of the Stadtgalerie.
