For the first time, the exhibition presents a large number of maps designed by artists - at the interface between art and everyday culture.
The Museum zu Allerheiligen owns the most important collection of playing cards in Switzerland - including a large number of cards designed by artists. They include such famous names as Félix Vallotton, Ditha Moser, Jean Dubuffet, HR Giger and Niki de Saint Phalle. For the first time, the exhibition presents a selection of these works at the interface between art and everyday culture. On display are the best-known card games, including tarot, skat, quartet and jass, as well as various production techniques. The exhibition will be accompanied by guided tours, specialist lectures and workshops for art and playing card enthusiasts.
