Utilization vision of individual bunkers of the Kreuzlingen fortress belt.
In 2022/23, the "grenzstein", the Architecture Forum's binational study prize for outstanding work, went to Lena Conrad and her Master's thesis "Kartographie des Erinnerns. Retrospect. Exchange. Outlook - A path along the Kreuzlingen fortress belt". Parallel to the special exhibition GEPLATZTE STADTtRÄUME and in keeping with the border theme in the Rosenegg, she presents her utopian vision of the use of individual bunkers in the Stadtlabor.
Four are to be brought together along the Seerücken in a memorial trail and become places of encounter. Contemporary witnesses and the younger generation will come together there and exchange ideas. A parallel path is to be created on the Constance side, which will use places of dialog to address how to deal with the border and the "other side". Really a utopia?
