Romanshorn, June 13, 2025 - The slowUp Lake Constance on Sunday, August 31, 2025, will take place, mainly thanks to financial contributions from the sponsoring municipalities. At the same time, however, new measures have been taken to stabilize the event. Their effectiveness is now to be awaited, and the planned decision on continuation from 2026 has therefore been postponed until the end of October 2025 - after this year's slowUp has been held and settled.
In recent months, the office has taken numerous measures to secure the future of the popular car-free movement day. These include, in particular, the introduction of the slowUp vignette, participation fees for festival catering and stand operators and the targeted reduction of services.
The sponsoring municipalities have ensured the continuation of the slowUp Lake Constance last year and this year with financial contributions. However, at yesterday evening's general meeting of the sponsoring association, it was decided that no further financial contributions would be made. However, the municipalities will continue to make various valuable contributions in kind.
The preservation of the slowUp Bodensee is now primarily in the hands of the active participants: Be it through the purchase of the slowUp vignette for CHF 5 at the event, the contribution of the participants along the route, sponsorship from companies for 2026 ff. or donations, which are also possible at any time.
