Plättli Zoo

The Plättli Zoo - small but nice, with lots of charm, situated in the beautiful countryside above Frauenfeld - is known above all as an excursion destination for families and for its family atmosphere.

The family-friendly private zoo is home to a wide variety of animal species, such as lions, pumas, kangaroos, Barbary macaques, llamas, raccoons and camels, as well as a wide range of parrots, which enliven the Plättli. The petting zoo, where the animals can still be fed, is particularly popular with children. In addition, the barbecue area in the zoo, the modern children's playground and the restaurant right next to the zoo with a great view of the Thur valley invite you to linger.
